Prerequisites
We adapt flexibly to the spatial requirements of your practice and bring all our anaesthesiological equipment with us. The equipment includes anesthesia equipment, medical consumables, medicines and emergency equipment and meets all the standards of the German Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (DGAI). In special situations, we are also happy to work with existing anesthetic devices, provided that they meet the current quality requirements and are properly maintained. As part of a regular and close cooperation, we may consider providing a "fixed" anesthesia workstation in your practice operating room.
Place
In the operating room, we need about 2 - 3 square meters of floor space as close as possible to the operating table, the treatment table or the dentist's chair, as well as a power source for the placement of our anaesthesia machines. These must be stable and freely accessible at all times. Quick access to the patient from all sides must also be ensured.
Furnishings
According to the standards of the German Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (DGAI) as well as the guidelines for the recognition of practice operating rooms, the following facilities are also required:
- Emergency power (is usually guaranteed by the batteries in our devices)
- Extinguisher
- Direct access (wide stairs, lift) for the possible removal of a patient lying on a stretcher.
Recovery room
It is more pleasant for the patient not to have to stay in the operating room for the postoperative "waking up" period. This is often not even possible for operational reasons. That is why it is desirable, or often indispensable, that a separate, reasonably noise-protected secondary room suitable as a "recovery room" is available next to the intervention room. This must be equipped with a comfortable lying option. A blanket for covering the patient and 1 - 2 chairs for relatives are estimated. It is also convenient to keep paper towels and a kidney bowl close at hand. A simple patient wheelchair is also desirable for the safe transfer of the patient from the operating room to the “recovery room”.
